Accomplishments & Key Issues
Infrastructure & Green Technology
It all begins with our investment in ourselves. As Mayor I have, and will continue, to fight for us to think differently about how we improve and upgrade our infrastructure. This includes:
Generating more local green power
Repairing our aging roadways
Expanding pole attachment rights
Investigating municipal WiFi
Protect community self-determination
Public Safety & Policing
Policing is about helping build a better community by developing trust. As Mayor I am dedicated to keeping us looking forward while staying on budget. This includes:
Hired a full-time Emergency Manager
Investing in body worn cameras
Fully staffing LPD to improve service
Reformed our use of force policy
Formed a Human Relations Commission
Budgeting & Investment
Exploring new ideas and investing in our community does not have to break the bank. As Mayor, I support responsible budgeting focused on return on impact. This includes:
Cutting overtime to re-invest in the FFC
Managing expenditures during COVID-19
Fought for direct relief in the pandemic
Investing in impact over effort
Developing new revenue sources
5G & Municipal WiFi
Lansdale has the opportunity to expand the services we can provide residents by offering more competition for internet and wireless services. The internet, specifically wireless internet, is no longer a nice to have. It is a critical component to our businesses, our homes, and our government.
It is time we lean into the future that municipal WiFi can offer Lansdale.
